Athensmade and the Athens Area Community Foundation (AACF) are teaming up again to offer a Creative Networking Coffee on Tuesday, August 15 from 7:30-9 a.m. at Cinè (downtown location: 234 W. Hancock Ave).
All Athens-area homegrown brands, creative professionals and nonprofit directors and/or board chairs are invited to enjoy this unique networking opportunity. The focus of this event will be a one-hour, rapid-fire self-introduction session. Sixty (60) organizations will be given a chance to deliver a timed, thirty-second pitch about their business mission or a specific need they have this month that other attendees might be able to assist with.
“Our first Creative Coffee event in June was a huge success. We enjoyed hosting more than 90 area creative professionals and received such great feedback that we decided to do it again! Collaborating with Athensmade on a business event that attracts the creative communities our organizations represent and partnering with a location host like Cinè is an awesome way to connect, share, and explore our presence in the community.” - Sarah McKinney, President |CEO of the Athens Area Community Foundation.
Attendees not interested in speaking during the rapid-fire networking session are welcome to observe, listen and simply enjoy.
The structure of the event will go as follows:
- 7:30-7:45 a.m.: Networking
- 7:45-8:00 a.m.: Welcome from Athensmade & Athens Area Community Foundation with brief history on each organization
- 8:00-9 a.m.: Rapid-fire self-introductions of sixty (60) Athens-area organizations.
- 9 a.m.: Conclusion with challenge
Those who would like to attend are asked to visit the Athensmade events page www.athensmade.com/events/ and register on the Eventbrite link. There is a small $8 fee for this event. Attendees are encouraged to check-in upon arrival, wear your nametag and bring plenty of business cards.
