Social Lab Update

Athensmade had a great turnout for Wednesday's Social Lab on personal branding by Alice Stapleton. The third installment of The Social Lab will return to Creature Comforts Brewery on August 23rd featuring a round table discussion about Facebook for business with speakers from Creature Comforts, Avid Bookshop & more.

Sons of Sawdust Co-Founder and Creative Director, Shayna Hobbs, opened the series to a crowd of 100 Athenians on June 28th with a discussion of the local wood-rescuers’ overwhelming success with Instagram. Sons of Sawdust’s 131,000+ followers hang on Shayna’s every image – the photos like an eye into the fascinating interworkings of a rapidly growing business that has captured sponsorships from Carhart & Ridgid. For those who would like to watch the highlights from June’s Social Lab, check out Athensmade’s YouTube Channel.

Other sessions of the Social Lab will focus on popular outlets such as Facebook and Twitter as well as emerging media trends like podcasting.

Tickets are $8, and proceeds go to support the mission of Athensmade. Come for the Social Lab and stay for the Athens Farmers Market and a cold beer brewed onsite by Creature Comforts Brewing Co.
